We're having a.......

BOY!!!!!!

Look at that cute little face!

A couple profile shots...

This little guy is obsessed with his hands!
He wouldn't stop sucking his thumb!

Little foot below

I have to admit that I almost started crying with defeat when I found out we were having our 3rd boy. I know, I know... that sounds crazy, unappreciative, and just immature - since I should be grateful for a healthy baby - and I guess it is.
The ultrasound tech was a little hesitant to tell me, since she knew I was hoping for a girl. After focusing on his little face and not saying anything about the sex for the first 10 minutes, I finally said, "It's a boy, huh?" and she smiled and nodded and said she had known right away but didn't want to tell me first off.
But the more I think about this little guy, the more embarrassed and ashamed I am for even being bummed in the first place! Obviously this is the little Spirit that needs to come here and Heavenly Father entrusted me to be his mom. He knows what we need and he sees the big picture in life. I LOVE my boys and am SO EXCITED to see this little man! So in love with him!
Now my next big goal will be talking Cory into one more since he's so adamant that we're finished after this one! Yeah right!! :)

SELL your Halloween candy!!

This is such an awesome idea! If you have tons of Halloween candy leftover and you just want it out of the house, click on this link:

http://www.halloweencandybuyback.com/

Enter your zip code, and find dentists in your area that will BUY back your unopened Halloween candy for $1 a pound to ship to troops overseas! How cool is that? It means a little more money in your pocket (or your kids pocket) less cavities, and happy soldiers!

Check it out!

Tricks + Treats

I had such a great Halloween!

I somehow talked my best friend Tanya and her husband & son to join us at our Church's Trunk or Treat - it was a blast!

Here's Tanya's little Darth Vader Duncan and my Chance aka G.I. Joe hanging out before the fun begins.

Mrs. Vampire Bride with the Preggo Fortune-Telling Gypsy
My very own Rambo! I was so proud of Cory for dressing up!
He was such a good sport for not only caving in to my demands and dressing up, but he also worked at the donut-eating booth for the trunk or treat. What a man.
Of course Chance was the donut-eating champion.
That's my boy!
Here I am with Star Wars' Commander Fox!
My good friend Vera always dresses up with the BEST costumes. This year she turned herself into the Wicked Witch, complete with a pointy nose and green face! It was pretty rad.
Hanging out outside of the Church waiting for the trunk-or-treating to begin. Tanya's hubby Matt dressed up as a beat up Rugby player!
Rambo passing out Halloween candy.
Don't worry, he has a license for those guns...
The aftermath of Halloween...all over my floor...
PUMPKINS!!
Justin did a great job cutting his jack-o-lantern without any help from us!
His turned out so cute!
(Can you tell the poor kid was still getting over the flu?)
Here's Chance cutting into his pirate-themed pumpkin.
The outcome: a smiley face, pirate skull & bones, and Cory's haunted house - which this picture does NOT do justice! They were all really good!

The day before Halloween we went to the Clover Halloween Hurrah, which is the kids school Halloween fundraiser. It had a great turnout and the games were tons of fun!
Cory and I just about died laughing when Cory asked Chance to smile for a picture and he ended up posing like this (above)! The kid is a serious ham!

Question of the Day...

"WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?!"

Okay, I'm going to have to complain and vent a little. It's only human, right?

On Monday morning, I woke up to a very hot, red-faced Justin. He was running a high fever, so all day I forced him to take medicine. I had to wake up a couple times a night to check his temperature. The next day when I thought he would be feeling better, he STILL had a fever! I was thinking swine flu and starting to panic a little. But it wasn't as bad as the day before and sometimes he would go for a couple hours feeling totally back to his normal self. Finally I get the kid feeling good enough, without a fever to go back to school. Yay, no H1N1 here!

Then last night, Chance's stomach decides to make both mine and his life miserable by giving him the stomach flu. Are you kidding me? So now I have this kid home from school. All I can say is that I'm getting serious cabin fever from not being able to leave my apartment and I'm terribly freaked out at the thought of ME getting both kinds of the flu! Not great when your immune system is already at its worst, being pregnant. Wish me luck that I can get through this without getting some nasty sicknesses!

Anyway, thank you for listening to my ranting and raving for the day! :) That's all!

This is what I did today...

Yes, I know. I'm CRaZY for doing Halloween cookies... I just love this time of year! I can't wait for all the fun Halloween parties, costumes, decorations, pumpkin carving, and cooler weather!

My Mom flew over to Los Angeles last week and we had so much fun shopping, eating out, watching movies together...and so on. It was a blast!!

But after she left, I realized that I hardly took any pictures at all while she was here! What is UP with that??

I always take too many pictures! I think we were so caught up in the fun stuff that I didn't remember to pull out my camera. Anyway, here was one of the only pictures I took.

We went to the beach to play around and eat and the boys found this squirrel who was not afraid of humans. They actually got to feed it! There's no such thing as "squirrel flu" is there? ;)
Also, I got to be a part of this really neat film with a fantastic film crew/producer/director before I got pregnant. Some of the director's credits include CSI:Miami, Deadliest Warrior, Big Love, Land of the Lost, I Love You, Man, etc.

It's probably one of my favorite films I was a part of so if you're interested in checking out a link to the new website...here it is!

The trailer will be on there soon, too.
In "baby news", I'm 15 weeks along and already have a nice little tummy! I have to wait until I'm 20 weeks to get the fun ultrasound that tells you the baby's sex, so I feel like this next month is going to drag.
The good news is that I'm feeling so good! Plus I was able to quit my job and will be going back to school next semester to get my degree in education so I can teach! I'm so excited that it's finally my turn to go to school now that Cory is all finished.
Speaking of Cory, he gets to start with his new firm the beginning of November in NEW YORK for the first week! I'm so jealous! What a way to kick off your new career, right?
Anyway, life is goooood.

All's FAIR in food & fun

Some of the best family memories I have are hanging out at the Arizona State Fair - eating some BBQ & cotton candy with my parents, riding the rides with my brother, listening to live bands, and seeing the exhibits.

So naturally, I wanted to share the same fun experience with my kiddos. It happened to be the last day of the L.A. County Fair and we all got in for a buck and after four o'clock the rides & games were all only a $1 too! It was super crowded but we still had such a great time.
My favorite part was the yummy food...

That is one serious sausage...
Mmmm pizza.
Our friends Matt & Tanya came and hung out with us and brought their son Duncan - who is hanging out with Justin and Chance here watching the mini monster truck races.
Farmer Chance with his prized steer, Duncan.
Justin's favorite part of the fair was the petting zoo. He wasn't scared at all to feed any of the animals. I booked it out of there when a goat decided to start chewing on the buttons of my sweater!
Our adorable little cows!
Weird how this came out so blurry, but Justin ended up winning Chance this huge frog, which they aptly named Froggy. So original. :)Justin won this little beauty in the kids game area.
He decided to name his goldfish 'swimmy'.
I swear they were throwing prizes at people just to get rid of them, since it was the last day of the fair.
Last but not least was the sweetest ending to the whole fair trip...FUNNEL CAKE!! Yum.
